    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "West Troy Pottery." 

     

    This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy, New York (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871. 

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp and a Large Folky Bird on a Leafy, Dotted Branch.  Shiny cobalt and a large bird for a two gallon jug.  Stands 14" tall. 

     

    Good Condition.  Four chips on the spout (1/4" to 1"), a line of glaze wear by the bird's breast, a 1/2" chip at the base, and staining at the bottom from use.   No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.   A salt drip on the front in the making.
