Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Snuff Jar made for "Weyman & Bro., Pittsburgh, PA."
 
This beauty was made in Southwestern Pennsylvania, probably at either New Geneva or Greensboro.
 
Dating about 1880, this jar features the Company Advertising Stenciled in Larger Letters Around the Outer Edge.  The center was probably left open to accommodate a paper label to advertise the local shops that sold the snuff. Stands 9 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. A minor 1/8" nibble inside the rim and a 1/2" chip on the back at the bottom.  That's it!  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A clay flip on the front bottom to the right in the making.
