Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Whites Utica."
 
This is a mark of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery in Utica, N.Y. from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , pp. 70-71).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and an Orchid Decoration Created with a Slip Cup in Brilliant Cobalt.  Stands 11" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Scattered light staining. That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the left side in the making.
