Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Whites, Utica." 
 
This is the work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles who ran the Whites of Utica family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 70-71). 
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Tall Orchid executed with Bold Cobalt.   The orchid sports two base leaves, two large leaves on the stem (one striped and one solid), a blossom, adn three buds.  Stands 13 3/4" tall.   
 
Excellent Condition. A minor 1/8" nibble on the spout in the back.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
