Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Canning Jar made and stamped by "Wm. Hare, Wilmington, Del."
This is the work of William Hare who potted in Wilmington from 1857 to 1887 (William C. Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 98).
This beauty features a Gray Salt Glaze Flared Rim, and the Pottery Impression at the Base. Stands 7 3/8" tall.
Excellent Condition. Two adjacent 1/8" nibbles inside the rim, and a 1/4" chip on the base. That's it! No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
