Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Canning Jar made and stamped by "Wm. Hare, Wilmington, Del."
 
This is the work of William Hare who potted in Wilmington from 1857 to 1887 (William C. Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 98).  
 
This beauty features a Varigated Brown Glaze, Tooled Rim, and the Pottery Impression on the Shoulder (first line is partial).  Stands 7 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip inside the rim, a 1/4" surface line outside the rim, and a 3/8" chip at the base.  No hairllnes, cracks, stains, or restoration.
