Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Superb 2 Gallon Jug made by "Williams & Reppert, Greensboro, PA."

This is the work of William Williams and Thomas Reppert who worked together from 1880-1884 and again after 1890 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp 157-58).

This beauty features Two Wavy Stripes at the Shoulder Framing the Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves, the Company Advertising in Four Lines of Stenciled Lettering in the Middle, and a Stripe at the Bottom.  What is superb is the contrast of Dark Cobalt on Medium Gray Glaze.  One of the most attractive jugs by this maker that I have seen in a very long time.  Stands 13 1/4" tall.

Very Good Condition.  A vertical 3 1/2" hairlline on the bottom of the right side that wraps under 2 1/2".  That's it!  No chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
