Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made for "Winchell & Davis,  Albany, N.Y."  This company was a wine and liquor operation.
 
The shape, color, and stenciling indicate that this jug was made by the Whites Pottery of Utica, N.Y.  
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features Two Lines of Large Stenciled Cobalt Advertising.  The stenciling is complete and in strong blue.  Stands 11" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Two chips and a ping line on the spout (1/8" to 1/2"), a 1/4" chip on the shoulder, and some minor nibbles on the bottom.  A shallow coating of molasses in the bottom.   No hairlines, cracks, stains, restoration.
