Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Salt Crock.
It was part of the "Dandy Line" of kitchen stoneware made by the Brush McCoy Company in Zanesville, Ohio. This piece is discussed in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I , on p. 73.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Three White Slip Bands around the Middle with "Salt" Prominently Displayed on the Front. Measures 5 3/4" tall and wide.
Excellent Condition. A couple 1/8" nibbles on the body and some very light staining from use. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Some small chips on the underside that appear to be in the making.
