Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Butter Crock. It was part of the "Dandy Line" of the Brush McCoy Company in Zanesville, Ohio.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features Three White Slip Bands around the Middle with "Butter" Prominently Displayed. Measures 3 3/4" tall and 6" wide across the top.
This piece is pictured in Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I, on p. 83.
Excellent Condition. Four small, flat chips on the underside at the edge (1/4" to 1/2"), and some light staining. No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
