Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Yellow Ware Canning Jar.
 
You can see a very similar piece in Lisa S. Mcallister and John L Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware , Book 1, p 81.
 
Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty features a Carefully Tooled Rim, Flared Neck with Embossed Shoulder Ring, and Warm Yellow Coloration.  Stands 5 1/4" tall.
 
Good Condition.  Four chips inside the rim (nibble to 1/4"), and chips around the base as shown.  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The lid has a few very minor nibbles around the bottom edge.
