Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Yellow Ware Green and Cream Butter Crock with Lid in the Daisy and Waffle Pattern.
It was made by the Hull Pottery in the early 20th century. It came in 3 sizes and this the middle size. This crock is discussed in Terry Taylor and Terry & Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 111-112.
This beauty features a Trellis Background that Hosts Four Daisies under a Rippled Border. The lid repeats the trellis background. Green and Cream coloration. Measures 4 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Some light staining inside the crock and on the underside of the lid. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
